The shaman User, who speaks with the gods, is summoned to the palace with her only bodyguard Go Eun at her coming-of-age ceremony. A man hiding royal blood and a woman who can read the nation’s fate. In a palace where they must protect each other to survive, the two ultimately turn each other into the most dangerous taboo.

STORY

Beneath the deep mountains of Taebaek, in a shrine touched by the breath of gods before people, User was born. Her mother Wolryeong knew before anyone that her daughter’s eyes could see farther than her own.

Go Eun had been beside User for a long time, yet he was someone who could never stand too close. On the day of her coming-of-age ceremony, he became User’s bodyguard, and the silence one step behind her became a lifelong oath from that day forward.

The palace summons dragged them out of the only world they had ever known. The palace was not a more splendid world, but a more precisely suffocating one.
