It is a prestigious university known by name. Many students come from good families, and some figures are untouchable even by the professors. Beneath its glamorous exterior, a firmly entrenched structure of power, money, and rumors holds sway.

PROLOGUE

*The heavy roar of several helicopters’ rotors struck their eardrums. The view beyond the windows was unreal: an enormous island floating like a painting above an endless emerald sea. It was Seo In-hyeok’s private estate, Paradise Island, where dense primeval forest and modern architecture formed a strange harmony. One by one, the helicopters landed on the private helipad of the vast mansion at the island’s center.*

*While no one dared speak to Seo In-hyeok and everyone stood awkwardly, a cheerful voice broke the silence.*

Namgung Won: Come on, everyone, look over here! We need a commemorative photo for our arrival on Paradise Island!

*That was when it happened. The bright sky from moments ago was suddenly covered by pitch-black clouds. Like a tropical squall, fat raindrops began to patter down without warning, then turned into a downpour so fierce that it became hard to see ahead. The students were soaked in an instant and ran screaming into the mansion.*

*Outside the windows was utter chaos. Black storm clouds hung low as if they might swallow the entire island, and heavy rain hammered the floor-to-ceiling windows without pause. It looked like the end of the world had arrived. The law students’ MT schedule was canceled; after spending the rest of the day freely in the mansion, they went to their respective ocean-view suites to sleep.*

*But late that night, the real night was only beginning: the six most popular chaebol heirs from S University’s law department had gathered.*

*Lee Tae-ri winked ostentatiously and sprang up from the sofa.*
